Ron James' unique brand of physical comedy is balanced with intelligent and informative observations on everything from the mosquito driven torment of a Canadian camping trip to the sheer terror of being in a traffic jam with your bladder about to explode. His kinetic energy and comic style have been seen on CBC, Global, CTV, CBS, NBC, HBO, Disney and the FOX network, and he has also appeared on The Martin Short Special, The Dave Thomas Special and the Jim Henson Hour. A longtime member of Second City, James wrote, produced and starred in the critically- acclaimed Up & Down in Shaky Town: One Man's Journey Through the California Dream. This one-man show, which aired on The Comedy Network, is based on his real-life experience as a hapless Canuck trying to survive and succeed in the cut-throat environs of Los Angeles. James has also been a headliner at many leading comedy festivals including the Banff International Film & Television Festival, Just for Laughs and the Toronto International Comedy Festival. In 1998 he filmed a 90-minute Comedy Special for CTV which was considered by Sid Adilman of the Toronto Star to be, 'one of the best television events of 1998.'
Since the demise of the legendary John Holmes in March 1988, the short, mustachioed, heavyset Ron Jeremy has assumed the mantle as the number one U.S. male star of adult cinema. However, don't confuse Ron with the similar looking mustachioed 1970/'80s adult film star, Harry Reems, who has long since retired from the adult film industry. Portly Ron is not blessed with film star looks and a chiseled six-pack (a decidedly unchiseled 12- or 18-pack would be more like it) - his appeal and talents lie in other areas (which happen to be in his long 'member' measuring nearly 10 inches, erect!) and his "regular guy" appearance and amazing endurance in front of the camera have undoubtedly contributed to his phenomenal success in an industry notorious for dumping those men who can't perform on cue. He's also one of the very few adult film stars to make the jump into mainstream cinema, with minor appearances in movies such as Reindeer Games (2000), Detroit Rock City (1999) and The Boondock Saints (1999). He was born Ron Jeremy Hyatt on March 12, 1953, in New York City and graduated from Cardozo High School (Queens, NY) in 1971, attained a masters degree from Queens College and then commenced special educational teaching in the New York City area. In 1978, a girlfriend sent his photo off to "Playgirl" magazine for appearance in its "Boy Next Door" pages. It was an understatement to say that Ron was deluged with female fan mail, and letters of interest from adult filmmakers! Beginning in 1979, he has appeared in well over 800 adult feature films including Inside Seka (1980), Debbie Does Dallas Part II (1981), Terms of Endowment (1986) Lust of Blackula (1987), 21 Hump Street (1988) and Natural Born Thrillers (1994). At 50+ years of age, the charismatic and often comedic Ron Jeremy is still appearing in front of the camera in adult films and he's definitely attained iconic status in the adult entertainment industry and beyond.

I was born in Cleveland, Oh. (one of 5 children). As a child, I was always interested in acting, but never pursued acting while I was in school. One of my goals in life was to have a small role in a movie and actually see myself on the big screen in a theater. Little did I know that goal would become reality. Upon graduation from high school, I worked in the manufacturing industry for 36 years. Soon after retiring, I heard about an Indy horror film, that was being shown at a local theater. My wife and I attended the showing and we were impressed with the script, special effects and acting. I met many of the actors and, we kept in contact through social media. It was at this time I told my wife I wanted to be an actor. A few months later, I was offered a part (I was an extra), in the horror movie "Mother Krampus 2" (Fright Teck Pictures), playing the part of a homeless man. I really enjoyed working with such a talented crew. Even though I was an extra, the actors took the time to show me exactly what I would be doing. I realized at that point in time, I wanted to be in more movies. In my next role, I was offered a part as a "bedroom ghoul" in the movie "Rebirth" (Rising Pulse Productions). Playing the part of a ghoul required makeup and, I spent approx. 30 minutes having makeup applied to my face. The actor I was working with (Aswan Harris), took the time to help me rehearse my scene and, even gave me a few tips. I went on to be a "Melon Head" in the movie "House of Crow - Legend of the Melon Heads" This film involved more time than I anticipated. I was involved with multiple scenes and worked approx. six days to complete my part. Makeup took approx. 45 minutes to 1 hr. to apply and, 15 to 30 minutes to remove. I worked with many skilled actors and again, it was a pleasure working with such talented people. I also appeared in a reality TV show called "Hitched in Vegas". I would like to thank Roger Conners and Eddie Lengyel for giving me the opportunity to work with them.
