Morne Visser has been a freelance actor for over 25 years. He travels extensively for work but keeps Cape Town, South Africa, as his base. He is known to take on challenging and controversial characters. In 2015, he won the Best Actor Award at the Silwerskerm Film Festival for the critically acclaimed film, Dis ek, Anna. During a Q&A at the Durban International Festival, where Dis ek, Anna debuted, he was asked to explain why he would play a character that could potentially harm his career.
