Justin grew up between Montreal and Harlem, New York. At 13 his mother remarried Paul Yaphe, a Jewish Lawyer. Justin completed High School in Canada. He played Triple A Hockey for Dawson College and Rugby for McGill University Elite Team. At 23, he was accepted to The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City and modeled for the Click Agency. He began studying physical therapy, while acting bit parts on Passions and As The World Turns. After booking his first national commercial he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in acting and Standup comedy. After several attempts auditioning for Mitzi Shore, he was made paid regular in 2002 at The World Famous Comedy Store as well as having his name inscribed on the wall of fame. He has performed stand-up throughout the United States, Europe and Canada. He was also a member of The Lost Nomads with Josh Gad, studied with The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade. In 2011, Justin won the Santa Monica Actors Guild for Best Supporting Actor in Ray Cooney's, Run For Your Wife for his role as Bobby Franklin, the flamboyant, effeminate dress designer. Justin has been seen on Alias, Hot In Cleveland and Don't Trust The B**** in Apt. 23 as well as over 60 National Commercials. Justin is the Creator, Producer and Host of Actors Night, an open mic for Actors, Writers and Directors at The Broadwater Theatre in Los Angeles. Justin is married to Yasmin G. Justin Ward began his career working in film development for Mick Jagger at Jagged Films, then went on to work under such talented directors as Robert Redford, Terrence Malick, Norman Jewison, James L. Brooks, Richard Donner, Ron Shelton and Jon Amiel. He has also worked with some of the most well-known producers in the business as well, including Arnon Milchan, Mark Tarlov, Patrick Markey, Gary Foster, Grant Hill, and Joel Silver. For 12 years, Ward produced and directed over 300 hours of sports, culinary, music and travel series for such networks as CBS, NBC, NBC Sports, CBS Sports, Spike TV, FOX, Fox Sports Net, The NFL, Warner Bros., Disney, and The Travel Channel. Ward also helped develop, direct and produce the documentary series "UFC Countdown," and "UFC All Access," and was the showrunner on "Inside the UFC," all on Spike TV. In 2011, Ward created, directed and executive produced the documentary film series "Rock Stars," on the National Geographic Channel. Ward's debut feature film was "The Meanest Man In Texas," which he co-wrote and directed ,was accepted into 14 film festivals, with 31 nominations and won 21 awards. Including, Houston WorldFest's Gold Remi Award (past winners of the Gold Remi include Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Ang Lee, Ridley Scott, The Coen Brothers, Brian De Palma and Oliver Stone). The film was released in theaters in May of 2019, to three sold-out venues, and distributed in this summer digitally on Amazon Prime. Ward's second feature film, "Relish," which he wrote, directed and produced, also under Ohana Films, Inc., has already won 20 awards, including Best Feature Film and Best Original Screenplay at the Madrid International Film Festival, and Best Drama Feature at the Burbank International Film Festival. The film will be released to over 60 million homes and on Amazon Prime in November of 2019.
