Joseph Paul Branca is a professional actor based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Most recently he starred in the world premiere production of Paul Michael Thomson's Fremont Jr. High is NOT Doing Oklahoma! as Chrysanthemum at Good Company Theatre, as well as the regional premiere productions of Pete the Cat as Jimmy Biddle, and Saturday's Voyeur as Elder DeLay Mortenson at Salt Lake Acting Company; in Winnie-the-Pooh as Tigger, Newsies as Crutchie, and in the world premiere production of The Velveteen Rabbit as The Narrator at Hale Center Theater Orem; in Guys and Dolls as Rusty Charlie, Mary Poppins as Robertson Ay, Matilda as a Big Kid, and A Christmas Carol as Eben, Dick Wilkins, and a member of the octet at Hale Centre Theatre; and as a performer at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, Japan. Joe is a native of Utah. He lived in Los Angles for 20 years pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, and had the opportunity to work with such greats as Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Julie Taymour, Erica Van Stata, academy award winner Herbert Ross, Gearge Hern, Andy Garcia and many other wonderfully gifted artists. His lead roles include Cavaradossi in "Tosca", Alfredo in "La Traviata", and Turidu in "Cavalaria Rusticana". He performed in the back-up chorus for the "Three Tenor Concert" at Dodger Stadium and considers it to be one of the highlights of his life. Joseph has a life long love for musical theatre and has performed professionally in "Sweeney Todd", "South Pacific", "Camelot", "Carousel", "Kismet", "Civil War", "Fanny", "1856 The Musical", and most recently Carriere in "Phantom". He is recognized for his work in several films for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He plays the staring role of Taggart in the newly released "Whisper Island".
