Cassidy is the powerhouse former lead singer and main songwriter behind the all female rock quintet, Antigone Rising. (Lava/Atlantic Records) Known for their loyal fan base and non-stop touring schedule, AR released five independent albums before signing a record deal with Lava/Atlantic Records. They then landed the coveted, "Debut Artist" release with the mammoth coffee chain Starbucks in their newly formed, "Hear Music Series", a landmark deal that received global press. VH1 aired a half-hour special starring AR and featured Cassidy on multiple syndicated episodes of VH1's "I Love..." Series as a segment commentator. She has appeared as a guest on "The Tonight Show", "The Today Show" and A&E's "Breakfast With The Arts. After 7 albums Cassidy parted ways with A.R. to pursue other projects. Since then, Cassidy has written songs for pop sensation Demi Lovato and former Shinedown guitarist Nick Perri (sister, Christina Perri) for their upcoming 2015 albums. She has also co-written songs with Grammy winners that include, Beth Nielson Chapman and Annie Roboff (Faith Hill), Rob Thomas (Matchbox Twenty, Santana) Siedah Garrett (Man In The Mirror) Motown pioneer Lamont Dozier (Marvin Gaye, Supremes), and Darrell Scott (The Dixie Chicks). Cassidy can be heard singing on multiple tracks on Rob Thomas #1 solo album 'Something to Be ' and Rob invited Cassidy to appear on several television appearances with him promoting his second solo album 'Cradlesong'. Cassidy's commitment to promoting a positive image to young women and girls afforded her the opportunity to film a national documentary/interview style ad for THE GAP's "Born To Fit" campaign in conjunction with Andrew Zuckerman's 'WISDOM PROJECT'. Produced with cooperation from Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Cassidy's segment was called "Born To Empower." Other charitable organizations include, The Palmyra Foundation, The Orchard and Girl Scouts of America. Her latest project, "Cassidy and The Music" began recording in 2013. The first album called "Boheme, Follow The Freedom" featured Journey front man Steve Perry as a vocalist and mixer. The first single "Blind Spot" got added to Triple A radio and the video fetched 1.5 million views and counting. The title song "Follow The Freedom" was featured on the series finale of "Hollywood Ex's". Cassidy appeared on Good Day New York as well as national radio stations to promote her latest work. The second album "Cassidy and The Music" was a collaborative production between herself and producer John Siket, best known for his work with Steve Lillywhite (U2, Talking Heads, Dave Mathews). She was nominated 2012 AMP Critic's Choice by Music Connection Magazine and featured for a month straight on the Daily Mail UK. Most recently she could be seen performing with Symphony Orchestras across North America singing Carole King's music in Schirmer Theatrical's (NYC) "Women Rock" show. HER FILM ACTING CREDITS include a supporting role in 2009's "The Skeptic" starring Zoe Saldana and in Summer 2021, Cassidy will be starring in the rock odyssey film production of "Parallel Worlds" in the lead role of Tabatha. A role she originated on stage in 2016. Commercials include; The Gap, Seven Jeans, and telecom company OOVO where she uses her comedic chops as a medieval matchmaker named Rita. At the same time letting the world know how incredible adopting a child from foster care can be, bringing hope to more children before they age out of the system.
