Carry Goossens born Edgard Goossens in 1953 in Mechelen region of Antwerp, Flanders, has become a mainstay in Flemish television and film. He acquired some recognition in the 1990s, upon discovering his passion for acting relatively late, and collaborated with Antwerp comedy duo Gaston Berghmans and Leo Martin. He rose to stardom in Flanders, Belgium as he portrayed two innkeepers in acclaimed sitcoms, Oscar Crucke in F.C. De Kampioenen (1990) (1990-1993) and Jef Van den Sande in World War II set Lili & Marleen (1994) (1994-2010). Outside of Belgium, perhaps Goossens is better known as Walter De Paepe in Professor T. (2015), a dean, and as Hannah's father Robert Maes in the police series Code 37 (2009). A respected character actor in Belgium (Flanders), mastering every genre, Goossens's trademark became comedy, mostly in theatre. Goossens turned actor after exploring creative horizons in the advertising world.
