Carly Ellwanger has appeared in several film and television productions across the United States. You may have seen her in Thumper, Beyond the Dark, Scatter, and Monster's on Mainstreet, to name just a few. Carly studies The Meisner Technique at Playhouse West in Los Angeles and formally studied at The Actor's Lab and The Actor's Company. Carly grew up on Lake Michigan, a native of the Midwest, and Carly now lives in Hollywood, California.
Award-wining actress and director, Carly started acting and making films as soon as she could figure out what her dad's Hitachi video camera was capable of at age 4. She has since then mastered the craft diving deep in Stanislovksy and Strasberg based methods, graduating from the Neighborhood Playhouse school of Theatre, where she studied the Meisner technique. She has worked on sets and stages in Vancouver, New York City, Montreal, Toronto and Kelowna. Recent films are "The Sinners," which has just released on Amazon Prime, iTunes, and Cineplex, and leading in a western thrasher entitled "Ash and Dust," set to be on platforms in 2022. She won best actress in 2020's Cyberspace Film Festival for her lead in "Only People," winner best feature at the Canadian Independent Film Festival, 2019. Theatre credits include collaborating in creating and acting in the pre-show for the multi-Dora-winning Canadian premiere of "Jerusalem," at Streetcar Crowsnest, Toronto. Her self-produced and written projects include a one-woman show entitled "Rock Bottom," a Fringe sell-out that took "Pick of the Fringe," 2021 and "Hitch-hiked," winning her best director at OWTFF, 2021.

While playing Audrey in Millikan Middle School & Performing Arts Magnet's production of Little Shop of Horrors, Carly was spotted and signed by agent, Robin Nassif and Media Artists Group. Carly studied at Los Angeles County High School of the Arts (LACHSA) and is also active in the Encompass Service Learning helping to train teachers about social issues in the classroom through role-play. Carly lives in Los Angeles with her parents, sister (actor Julia Jade Hollander) and her two kitties.
