Since then, Carlos worked in several acclaimed projects which have included a lead role in "La Palabra de Pablo" the first ever Salvadoran movie picked up by HBO in the US and Sony Pictures in Latin America. His other projects include "Time", "Sra. Genovese", "Jalón", "El Suspiro del Silencio", "Melaktik", and "2500km" which was selected to be screened at The Academy and also picked up by HBO. Carlos Bernard is the son of a Spanish painter and spent most of his formative years in Mexico City and Chicago. He attended New Trier High School and majored in Fine Art at Illinois State University. It was after college that Carlos began his acting career - performing at such Chicago theaters as The Second City, Victory Gardens and Pegasus Players. He later made the move to San Francisco to train at the prestigious American Conservatory Theater masters program.
