Carlee Ryski was born in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, and began performing at a young age. Her experience stems from an early introduction to voice and music, eventually leading into her participation in local musical theatre troupes. Her involvement in theatre includes the St. Albert Children's Theatre troupe, the Edmonton Fringe festival, and various independent productions. Carlee attended Red Deer College's Motion Picture Arts Action program from 2012 - 2014, where she studied under numerous industry professionals. During her time in post secondary, Carlee was involved in the production of 'Under the Acorn Tree' (2012), which won Best Short Film at MOAB International Film Festival in 2013, People's Choice Award and Best Dramatic Short at Edmonton Short Film Festival. Other noteworthy works include CBC's documentary, 'When the Devil Knocks' (2010), in which she played alter Mary. The film's focus was on a woman's experiences as she lived with what used to be known as Multiple Personality Disorder. More recent works include feature films such as 'On the Rocks' (2016), which feature Carlee as Grace, an infatuated teenager who runs away from her troubled home to take on a life on the road in the Badlands with her boyfriend. Carlee's vivacious and determined approach towards performance is one of which is rooted in the belief that relationship is the core of quality storytelling.
