Bukola Ayoka is a Canadian actress and writer, born to Jamaican and Nigerian parents. She made her start in competitive dance, before entering the world of community theatre and improv at the age of 9. In high school, Bukola got her first taste of screenwriting and video editing, and she would later go on to receive her Specialist in Cinema Studies from the University of Toronto. Upon graduating, Bukola spent time cutting her professional teeth on a variety of sets during the years spent working with uncle and highly acclaimed Canadian music manager, Chris Smith. Always encouraging her to foster her natural storytelling gifts Smith gave Bukola her first real TV screenplay to use as a writing sample at age 15, and continued to invest in her artistic development. Bukola credits Smith as a personal hero and one of her greatest mentors. With goals to shine in additional areas of the film industry (animation and producing), and already sharing the screen with the likes of Diane Lane, Danica McKellar, and Dylan Sprouse - Bukola believes that the sky is her only limit and she doesn't plan on looking back.
